To celebrate our centennial anniversary, Cohn Lifland is making monthly donations to charitable organizations throughout 2024.
We are pleased to announce that our November contribution is to The Knights of Columbus annual Coats for Kids drive. The Knights of Columbus is an organization of Catholic men founded on the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity. Today, over 16,000 local councils worldwide seek to serve the church, their local communities, and the world at large. The St. Elizabeth of Hungary Council was chartered in 2004, and has been designated a "Star Council" -- a distinction earned by less than 10% of councils -- for the last four years. It sponsors a number of programs that impact communities in Northern New Jersey. The Coats for Kids drive is the council's largest fundraiser each year. Funds collected are used to purchase brand new winter coats from a K of C-approved vendor at an average cost of $24/unit. Those coats are then distributed to schools and organizations in Paterson, Newark and Jersey City.
